Remember this rhyme to avoid poison ivy!

While enjoying any moments that you can arrange to spend out in the great outdoors this year, remember the following phrase to hopefully save you from the dreaded poison ivy rash.

Leaves of three, let it be.

If poison ivy comes in contact with your body it can cause itchy swelling and a rash that can blister. It is extremely uncomfortable, so do your best to avoid it. In the Spring and Fall it takes on a reddish hue, but in the summer is generally green.

Calamine lotion and an over the counter antihistamine can bring relief..
