Yikes! Antibiotics when taken in conjunction with birth control pills, can make the birth control pills less effective!!!

... not only while taking the antibiotic, but also for seven days after. Use condoms for the rest of the month of your birth control pills. Be sure you understand any drugs prescribed to you and whether they should be taken with food or an empty stomach.

Some antibiotics, when taken with milk or dairy products, calcium, iron etc. can be ineffective.
